WND Associates was retained by Cromwell Management, one of Canada’s leading private rental housing providers, to assist in the development application approval process for the proposed redevelopment of 666 Spadina Avenue in Downtown Toronto.
The development consists of an 11-storey infill mixed use building with 118 new residential units. The proposed development will also provide a 600-square metre on-site parkland dedication, a pedestrian mid-block connection between Spadina Avenue and Robert Street, along with new indoor and outdoor amenities for new and existing tenants in excess of 2,000 square metres. The existing 25-storey mid-century residential building is proposed to remain and a rental housing demolition and replacement program was employed by Cromwell for impacted residents.
The development is currently under construction after receiving Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendment Approval in 2018 and Site Plan Approval in 2020.
