WND Associates was retained by the Owner of a 110-metre (360 foot) frontage waterfront lot on Stony Lake in the Township of Douro-Dummer, Peterborough County to assist with the Minor Variance application process and Committee of Adjustment hearing.
Our client sought to comprehensively redevelop their property with a new 450-square metre (1,500-square foot) seasonal cottage and other renovations pertaining to an existing boat house.
In August of 2023, WND Associates attended a Committee of Adjustment hearing facilitated by the Township successfully securing approvals for our client relative to a reduced water yard setback standard to facilitate their development vision for the property. In preparation for the Committee of Adjustment hearing our office conducted extensive on-site and desktop research related to the minimum water yard setback standards of other lake front properties in the vicinity. We negotiated environmental conditions.
